You look so beautiful with your long hair all grown back and what lovely things surrounding you that will all help you heal so fast!! Love the cards, kitties, flowers. Cats have an incredible sense when someone is sick. Mine flew up 3 flights of stairs to be with me& never left my side till I was fully recovered. Hugs and love.
Yes they're known healers and won't leave you till you're recovered, and they're beautiful, loving energy will speed your recovery. Rest well with them. ❤️
Thank you for sharing! I just had breast reconstruction surgery (exchange from temporary expanders to implants) on Thursday and I'm finding the things that help me too. I've added Yesteryear to my list of books to read. My chest is also swollen and bruised, so I don't know yet how the new "melons" 😂 will settle. I really appreciate what your friend wrote though - comforting and a good way to think about this new body. ❤️
I’m glad you found comfort in her words, I keep returning to her message when I feel unsure or anxious. I find I’m already feeling slightly better about them. They’re less swollen and I seem to be getting a little more used to them. Thinking of you in your own recovery💗
Glad it went well! I’ll be curious to hear how you adapt to your implants. I have to wait a few more months for mine but am hoping they don’t feel too weird. Your friend’s note certainly helps!
I’m already starting to get a little more used to them. I think the real test will be when I start wearing normal clothes again and am out and about in the world. I’ll share my thoughts here as they evolve. Happy to answer any questions as you approach your own surgery💛
I'm so glad it's done. Rest and heal well. Be gentle with yourself. You've been through, and are still going through, a life-altering experience. Sending love and healing wishes your way.
Hi Alison, I am on preventative treatment now as my breast cancer is high risk of recurrence. I am finding this stage quite difficult if I’m being honest. I know I need to take the meds but they make me feel ROTTEN with terrible fatigue.
I’m trying to focus on all the good things in my life, of which there are many 💕💕
Oh I could actually cry reading this. You are like an actual ball of sunshine always choosing to keep beaming and keep perspective no matter how flipping hard things get. Thank you for showing us this window into your world. I love you! xxx

That’s amazing about the cats, Lee! They’re lying next to me as I write this🥰Bringing me lots of comfort.

Also, mine put his little head beside my cheek and his purring penetrated my whole body. So sweet.

I love your practical approach, Ali. Sending all my love and wishes for a steady recovery.
Thanks so much, Karen💗💗💗
The melons 😁 enjoy the rest, Alison. And I really hope you gradually get used to your new implants like your friend did xxxx
Thank you, Hannah! Already starting to get a little more used to them. Curious to see how my feelings around them evolve x

Thank you, Nancy, I appreciate it. I have to keep reminding myself about the life-altering part and be kind to myself💗
Continued good healing. The friend who left the "nice melons" really gets it. Well done.
She really does! I needed some lightness and she delivered💛
Hoping you feel better soon, rest & then rest some more ! Sending love ❤️
Thanks, Rebecca. How are you doing on your own cancer path?💛
